The 3 Biggest Mistakes 95% Of All Networkers
Make!
by Robert Blackman
It's
sad.
Real sad.
It's
sad when I get a call from someone who isn't making any money in
their MLM program.
They're
frustrated.
They want to quit.
They're spending more than they're making.
They're spending more than they're budget allows.
They're broke.
They
still have a dream of quitting their job.
They
are at the end of their rope--that's when I get the "call":
"Robert!
HELP ME!!!"
As
I've been building the Profit Network (my own Lead program) since
July of this year I've noticed 3 MAJOR mistakes that my downline
are making.
Here
they are:
1)
They aren't talking to ANYONE -0-!
2) They're talking to the wrong person
3) They're talking too much to the right person
It's
simple, really, building a MLM business.
It
takes time.
It takes discipline.
It takes a "social security" attitude.
It takes knowing and having a game plan.
It takes a SYSTEM.
You
see, by now you've already learned my "SYSTEM" of building
my MLM programs.
1)
Free Newsletter
2) Sell MLM Training Information
3) Sell my Lead Program
4) Recommend my main program
Notice
that my main program is the LAST thing I tell my prospects about.
Why?
Because
more people are interested in making money and are willing to invest
more of their time and money in learning "how to" do MLM
than REALLY DOING IT!
When
I say "REALLY DOING IT" I mean getting up in the morning
and pitching your product or service like an encyclopedia salesman.
It
takes that type of commitment.
Can
you believe in the old days they actually had two hour product meetings
in Amway? They actually sprayed shoe polish and did the detergent
comparison right their in prospects homes!
Today
that method would go over like a lead ball!
Your
prospects and downline members are bombarded with more advertising
than ever before.
Divorces
are at an all time high.
Bankruptcies are at an all time high.
Both spouse work.
Time
is a commodity that most people CANNOT afford to give you and your
program.
So,
when I tell you that you have to "pitch" my liquid vitamins
in order to make a buck in my deal you yawn.
But,
if I tell you I have a legitimate, slick system on the Internet
that helps you build a downline while you're at work and I provide
the leads and post-cards and proven scripts for you...and oh...you
get to make money when people buy a book or tape and say NO to your
MLM program you're interested! Right?!
See
the difference?
Back
to the 3 biggest mistakes.
1)
You're not talking to anyone.
If
you can't pick up the phone and at least talk to ONE person a day
then don't expect to make big money in this industry.
Don't
quit if you haven't even started yet.
I tell
my downline members that you don't even know the "LINGO"
or what MLM is all about until you get 100 No's over the phone.
Don't
quit your MLM until you get 100 No's over the phone or in person.
Document
it.
It
works.
By
the time you've got your 100th NO you'll be making more than you're
spending and you'll be "HOOKED" on this industry.
So,
don't quit until you get 100. Period. No substitutes!
2)
You're talking to the wrong, unqualified prospect.
Hey,
FREE is my middle name.
I "do"
FREE because it works.
I "do" FREE because it helps me prequalify my prospects.
If
my prospect won't accept a FREE MLM Newsletter or a FREE Affiliate
site, then I scream NEXT!
They
aren't either the right prospect or they aren't ready for me and
my SYSTEM yet.
I ask
them if they want me to scratch their name off my list and move
on.
I used
to sell printing over the customer counter.
If
a customer came in and wanted $1,000 worth of printing but only
had $100 it didn't matter how good I was or my printing was, he
couldn't afford me.
You
have to realize that NOT EVERYONE will be able to afford you and
your program and your system.
I screen
people by doing autoship on product and autoship on leads.
If
they can't afford at least $50 to $200 a month then they aren't
ready for the Robert Blackman way of doing MLM.
Period.
No
exceptions.
No conversation needed.
No explanation.
The
ticket costs a minimum of $65 to "do" my lead program
and my main program.
That
is the entry fee or "cheap seats".
That gets you in the ballpark.
That gets you the books and a seat in the classroom.
Now,
it's the prospects duty to get up and get to class--and not forget
their books.
Tests
are daily.
I sell
to prequalified people only.
Excuse
me.
Prequalified
people call me and buy from me.
My
system assures that I'm not talking to the wrong person.
I don't
have the time to "pitch" my MLM program to someone who
has no intention of every joining.
It
would be like walking outside of my home here in Santa Fe and asking
the big Aspen in the back for a $100 check to join my deal.
He
won't hear it and he won't join.
It's
not going to happen.
Reality
states that if you're talking to the right person you can say the
wrong things and still get by.
I do
all day long.
So
should you.
3)
You're talking too much to the right person.
Don't
talk your good prospects out of the business.
I make
it difficult to get in touch with me.
I know
of some $100,000 a MONTH earners who have no phone number listed.
They
do it all by e-mail.
They
keep it short and sweet.
If
you have the correct system you can pull this off.
It's
a numbers game, but don't treat people like numbers.
Once
you've found the right person get out of their way, if necessary.
Don't
OVERSELL your deal.
Don't beg them to join.
Don't hound them to death.
Get
them in.
Get them on the dotted line.
Point them to the promise land and go back recruiting.
Yes,
you need to help those you recruit.
But,
set limits.
Like...
"John,
I'll help you doing 3-way calls until you get 4 frontline to you
in our deal. By the time we've sponsored 4 people together you'll
know how the system works. Then, John, you'll do the same for your
4, okay?"
If
you want to be a babysitter, open a day care.
If
you want to be a six-figure income earner open a MLM business and
attract the masses--sell to them--and glean out the 1-3 leaders
you have the good fortune in finding and cash your checks!
Yes,
relationships will develop and those count.
But,
this is "MLM 101" folks.
It's
not hand holding time.
You
will attract more Professionals and more Business people when you
start treating your MLM business like a traditional business.
Why?
Because
that's what the masses have been taught--traditional business.
Rarely,
will MLM be taught at the dinner table.
The
baby boomers were taught:
"Go
to college, get a good education and go to work for a corporation.
Save and retire at 65."
NEVER
and I'll say it again, NEVER has my Father ever taught me about
MLM.
He's
a great guy.
He
just "didn't know" about MLM.
So,
he taught me what his Father taught him--HARD WORK.
Imagine
working hard with the incredible vehicle we call MLM!!!
That's
my secret, folks.
Discipline.
Hard work.
MLM.
Do
it.
It
works for me!
Thanks
and let me know how I can further help you grow your MLM business.
Sincerely,
Robert Blackman
