Mamma Told Me Not To Go!

by Robert Blackman

It's sad, but true.
We all went against our Mother's wishes at least ONCE in our lifetime.

If your Mother were in charge of your MLM efforts like she was in charge of you cleaning your room and brushing your teeth every day, what would she say?

Would she say:

"Now, Robert you're already in one MLM, you don't need another--especially before bedtime"?

Or, would Mamma say,

"Robert, you're not going to another one of those MLM meetings, Conference Calls,or Web sites until you finish what you started!"?

If Mamma would of only been there to keep me focused on my MLM program.

If Mamma would of only been there to keep me from joining a hundred "MLM deals" this last year!

Just like "3-Dog Night" you and I know what's best for us--but we do the wrong thing anyway at times.

Like giving up on our MLM program before we've given it a "chance".

Hey, remember my training from the 7-Day MLM Crash Course:

"All MLM Programs Work--It's The People Who Don't Work Them"

Today's lesson is simple.

FOLLOW THROUGH.

We all get excited and join a MLM and then quit.

Like joining a MLM is all we have to do.

Wouldn't that be nice?!

We all get excited and join a MLM and then start looking for another one the same week.

Why?

Joining a MLM seems to solve our problems.

Joining a MLM is just the first step.

Your second step is "PLUGGING INTO" your uplines system.

Your third step is "FOLLOWING THROUGH" with your uplines sytem.

I like the 100 call rule.

Don't go to another meeting or web site that doesn't have anything to do with YOUR MLM until you've talked with 100 people about YOURS!

Get 100 "NO's" and you've gained my respect.

Duplication starts with Following Through.

If you're not following through, there's a 99% chance that neither is anybody else in your upline
or downline.

That's why it is so simple to make money in this business--there is little competition.

Or, I like to say:

"There is little traffic on the extra mile"

Imagine a highway where you're going 100 MPH and you see NO other traffic on that highway.

That's the highway I drive--

Route MLM

It's 8 lanes wide and they're all mine!

I made it on Route MLM because I followed through with my leads.

I made it on Route MLM because I talked with at least 10 people before my head hit the pillow every night.

I made it on Route MLM because I created a system that everyone could use.

Whether they used it or not wasn't my concern--I just handed out the road maps--that was my job.

Without a road map your downline will get lost!

And, no, they won't stop and ask for directions either--especially if they are of the male persuasion!!!

The key to my success is that I answered the phone.

And when I did answer the phone I gave directions to where my downline wanted to go.

All too often we get caught up in "finding the right deal" when we're already in the right deal--if we'd just work it!

Stop listening to your prospects and downline members about other MLM programs.

FOCUS for a change.

Try it.

Try it for the rest of the year.

You've got about 2 1/2 months until January 1, 2001.

Do you think you can focus on your MLM that long?
Do you think you can give it all you got for that long?
Do you think you could double your check in 2 1/2 months?

I do.

Be a "Rand McNally" of MLM.

Be a map salesperson.
Give directions.
Point people to where they want to go.
Do it cheerfully.

I get paid to talk and write.

I'm just a guy with a computer and a dream.

I "do" MLM because I get a kick out of it.
I "do" MLM because I get a thrill out of it.
I "do" MLM because nothing else compares to it.

My 3-year old Son just came in my office and told me:

"Dad, you're not going to my Birthday Party"

Yes, he's 3 and yes his birthday is months away but he's mad at me for not playing with him.

It's my job to give my Son direction in life.

Sometimes that means that I just sit in the floor and play with him.

Sometimes that means spanking his little "bootie" now and then.

But, more importantly, my Son is looking to me for direction.

I don't necessarily like the way he asks for my attention and direction--but I know he needs it.

So does my downline.

Just like my 3-year old, if I don't give my downline attention they'll be saying:

"I'm not going to be in your downline anymore!"

Yes, I'm 38 and I swear at times I act 3!

We all do.

Face it.

We live in a world of 3 year olds at times.

You could call it "Organized Chaos"

MLM is nothing more than giving a bunch of 3-year olds direction.

And, I mean that in a postive way.

Stop thinking that your downline is going to do all the work for you.

Get off your rear and go into the other room and see what's going on.

If you don't like what you see, get some more in your downline.

But, if you ever want a "guaranteed check" in this business you have to be like a Parent.

You have to "SUCK IT UP" when you don't feel like.

"There is little traffic on the extra mile".

There's a reason for that.

Go the extra mile.

Burn the midnight oil.

Your days are numbered just like mine.

Make an impact today, tomorrow, and the rest of the year.

Stop complaining and whining when you don't get your way.

Mamma told you to clean up your room--just do it!

Sincerely,
Robert Blackman
